Betadine Iodine Solution 120ml

General Betadine Iodine Solution is a disinfectant (germicidal agent), of which the active ingredient, povidone iodine, has a rapid and long-lasting micro-organism killing (killing only microscopically detectable organisms such as bacteria, fungi and viruses). Betadine Iodine Solution is used for disinfection of cuts, scrapes and burns and of the skin for injections and blood transfusions and for pre- and post-operative disinfection of the surgical area.

How to use?

Undiluted Betadine solution can be applied directly from the vial, or by means of a cotton ball, tampon or wet compress, to the skin and wound area. Diluted Betadine solution is used, among other things, for cleaning and rinsing infected wounds.

Warnings:

• Keep out of reach of children. Caution is advised in persons with iodine hypersensitivity and thyroid abnormalities.
• Betadine cannot be used instead of tetanus prophylaxis.
• With prolonged application on large surfaces, iodine may pass into the fetal circulation and therefore Influencing the thyroid function of the fruit.
• Use during pregnancy or lactation only in consultation with a doctor.
• Skin irritation may occasionally occur. Even in people with known iodine hypersensitivity, povidone iodine only rarely causes skin irritations.
