• The white side of the dressing is the wound contact layer
• Dress absorbs approximately 30x its own weight in wound fluid
• Kliniderm Superabsorbent dressing can be applied perfectly under compression
• The absorbent core is loose in the dressing so that it can swell freely and absorb a lot of exudate
• Soft non-woven wound contact layer: allows exudate to pass directly to the underlying absorbent core
• The outside of the dressing consists of a blue, hydrophobic layer: minimizes the risk of leakage
• The gel formed in the absorbent core creates a moist wound environment so that the dressing does not stick to the wound
• Absorbent core consists of superabsorbent polymers (SAP). These absorb a lot of wound fluid and blood and retain it so that the wound and the surrounding wound edges do not become too wet and maceration can occur
