The No.14 can be used in aesthetic procedures such as “Dermaplaning”, which helps to “overspray” the top layers of skin through a method of controlled surgical scraping where the epidermis is foiled. It is complemented by the smaller, more rounded 10R “butter blades”.

Dermaplaning can be performed on small areas of skin or the entire face and can be used alone or in combination with other procedures such as a chemical peel, microdermabrasion, or fluorescent pulsed light (FPL). Dermaplaning, when performed prior to other treatments, can remove the “peach fuzz” that can trap excess dirt and oil.

It is non-invasive and helps make other skin treatments more effective.
